A two-day running event, the Plava Laguna Polumaraton, was held last weekend, with over 1100 competitors taking part. The winner in the men’s half marathon was again Alessio Milani, with a score of 1 hour 12 minutes. The first place in the women’s half marathon went to a competitor from Slovenia, Simona Dolinar Majdič, who finished the race in 1 hour 30 minutes.
A 10K race was also held, as were two casual races, the Pepsi Kids Run and Family Run. The majority of competitors came from Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Croatia.

But what is more, this year the Halfmarathon was also a charity event. Plava Laguna will donate all the revenue from participation fees for the Family Run race to the local association Centar za inkluziju i podršku zajednici Poreč (Centre for Inclusion and Community Support Poreč).
