The latest edition of the Plava Laguna Half Marathon once again proved that Zelena Resort and Poreč are premier destinations for sports and active tourism in the region. The combination of a stunning Adriatic coastline, welcoming hosts, and vibrant athletic energy created the perfect spring kickoff. The weekend was packed with motivation, excitement, and unity, offering an unforgettable experience for thousands of participants and visitors.
The main 21-kilometer race delivered intense international competition. Luka Ljubič claimed the men's title with a fantastic time of 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 20 seconds, while Mariangela Stringaro took the women's crown, crossing the finish line in 1 hour, 25 minutes, and 57 seconds.
The 10K race also saw lightning-fast times on one of Croatia's most scenic routes. Tihon Salopek dominated the men’s category in just over 32 minutes and 15 seconds, while Maša Holešek swept the women's side in 37 minutes and 4 seconds.
True to tradition, the event centered heavily on community. The Family Run gathered families and beginners for a fun run, with all entry fees donated to the Centre for Inclusion and Community Support in Poreč. The weekend was rounded out by the PEPI Run, where the youngest runners got active alongside mascots Pepi and Lino, making it a celebration of fitness for all ages!
