Plava Laguna IRONMAN 70.3 Poreč, Istria–Croatia a Big Success

Both champions coming from Slovenia

The Plava Laguna IRONMAN 70.3, Poreč, Istria–Croatia has just finished, with both champions coming from Slovenia: Lara Rajterič finished her race in 4 hours and 25 minutes and Matevž Nunar finished his race in 3 hours 59 minutes, beating last year’s winner.

A total of 1500 people took part in the Poreč IRONMAN 70.3, braving 1.9 kilometres of swimming, 90 kilometres of cycling and 21.1 kilometres of running. The race started at Zelena Resort, in front of the Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna, with the swim course, followed by the bike course which started at the Hotel Molindrio Plava Laguna and continued all the way to Funtana and Višnjan and then back over several sections of the Istra highway, which was completely closed for traffic. The last of the courses, the run course, started at the Hotel Molindrio Plava Laguna, continued through the city centre and then back to the hotel, in two laps.
