The twelfth edition of this prestigious event, with both start and finish in Umag, will once again offer a rich programme, a top-level sporting atmosphere and an unforgettable experience for all participants and visitors.
Istria Granfondo is one of the most beautiful cycling marathons in the region. The route winds through the wine-growing landscapes of north-western Istria, along picturesque roads offering impressive panoramas, challenging climbs and thrilling descents, connecting the areas of Umag and Novigrad.
In addition to the race itself, visitors can enjoy an Expo zone with well-known cycling brands, a diverse children’s programme and numerous prizes, creating a great atmosphere and an extra reason to attend year after year.

For the daring and physically fit cyclists, there are two routes: the 94 km long Istria Medio Fondo and the 119 km long Istria Gran Fondo.
In addition to the main race in these two formats, participants have the opportunity to compete in the Time Trial.
The routes pass through the northwestern and central parts of the Istrian peninsula and take you back to Umag.
The rich accompanying programme offers interesting brands in the Expo zone, a children's programme, a rich gourmet offer, and most importantly - a great atmosphere!
In 2023, Istria Gran Fondo became an officially recognized event under the leadership of the UCI - World Cycling Organization. It is a series of 28 competitions held around the world on as many as 5 continents.
