Whether it's a morning jog, a family walk, or a challenging trail workout, you will be delighted by the landscapes and trails suitable for all of these activities, and more. Along the seaside paths, you can combine running with swimming, while trekking or trail running is best experienced on marked forest trails leading through vineyards and olive groves to picturesque medieval towns. It is no coincidence that these locations host some of the most attractive sports events such as Plava Laguna IRONMAN 70.3, Poreč, Istria, Croatia, Plava Laguna Halfmarathon or the trail race Istria 100 by UTMB.

Cycling along the coast or into the hills
As soon as the sun warms up the Istrian roads and trails in early spring, they fill up with cyclists. Some of the most attractive MTB and road cycling routes, as well as routes for cycling tourists, are located in this region, such as the popular Parenzana trail. Among the numerous cycling events throughout the year, the most famous is the international cycling marathon Istria Granfondo, which is held in October around Umag.
